Sleep is critical to good health. For too long, I completely disregarded this. I thought that if I ate right and exercised enough, sleep wasn’t that important. Words cannot describe how wrong I was.
After many slow mornings of fatigue, pain, and utter disgust with myself, I knew that I needed to make a change. Over time, I slowly shifted from getting 4 hours of sleep per night to 8 hours. Sleeping wasn’t just another part of the day. It was a carefully, thought out process that I nurtured and prepared for. It also wasn’t just about sleeping more, but better. This shift inherently changed my life. I now wake up with tons of energy, a clear mind, and excitement. Here are a few things better sleep has helped me with:
- I no longer feel slow or sluggish in the morning
- I am able to make better decisions
- I have more confidence in my day-to-day life
